From panels and switches in automotive interiors through tubes and single-use syringes in the medical field to valves and pumps in mechanical engineering – many industrial parts have to be marked permanently and reliably: with machine readable traceability codes, serial numbers, logos, alphanumeric characters or personalized patterns and letterings or day/night design symbols.
Permanent, excellently readable, abrasion-resistant or decorative – that is what marks should be. Because of the high quality marking results and the versatility of applications laser marking has become the preferred solution for marking plastics, particularly in automotive, medical and mechanical engineering. But these are not the only reasons why laser marking is the favorite identification process for plastic devices. Latest vision-based process solutions are capable of much more: With integrated vision alignment system IMP (Intelligent Mark Positioning) they are ready to take production lines to improved output, high process reliability and enhanced quality assurance.
