Laser Marking System V.0020-uv
UV-laser marker

UV laser marker for high-contrast markings on highly sensitive products

Overview

The FOBA V.0020-uv ultraviolet marking laser applies high-contrast markings even on sensitive products. As the vector scanning laser impacts the product's surface photo-chemically and with reduced peripheral heating, the heat effect of laser marking on substrates and materials can be kept to a minimum. With a typical pulse duration of 20 ns and a beam diameter of 10 µm, the V.0020-uv laser marking system only colors the surface instead of foaming the material, which means less impact on the product. Therefore it is possible to mark even highly sensitive and previously unmarkable material with FOBA's pioneering UV laser marker.

Typical applications that benefit from this solution range from aircraft cables and translucent or colored tubes for various industries through medical plastics for invasive applications or flame-resistant plastics for electronic housings to glass. UV-lasers apply permanent and sterilization-resistant laser marks on medical products such as catheters or insulin pumps, as well as filigree and brilliant laser marks on glass without breaking it. Also silicones or white polyamides can be laser marked with FOBA V.0020-uv.
