Cycling to work – 39,000 km cycled together, €10,000 donated together
Employees at ALLTEC Angewandte Laserlicht Technologie GmbH cycled over 39,000 km as part of the “Cycle to Work” campaign, raising over €10,000 in donations. The team is donating the money to the Schleswig-Holstein Nature Conservation Foundation and the Leuchtturm e.V. children's and youth hospice support association.
ALLTEC Angewandte Laserlicht Technologie GmbH has once again sent a strong signal for sustainability, health, and team spirit with its “Cycle to Work” campaign. Between May and September, 51 employees cycled a total of 39,057 kilometers, exceeding their target by 6%. The management donated 20 cents for every kilometer, supplemented by private contributions, resulting in a total of €10,000. This will be donated in equal parts to the Schleswig-Holstein Nature Conservation Foundation and the Leuchtturm e.V. children's and youth hospice support association.
The campaign, now in its third year, combines sporting commitment with social engagement. In addition to the kilometer challenge, there was bicycle safety training and weekly surprise bags for the participants. Managing Director Richard Roth emphasizes that the initiative not only supports climate protection, but also brings the company's values—health, sustainability, and social responsibility—to life in everyday life.
