Marked make-up – UV-laser marking on decorative cosmetics

Laser marking is not only used to label cosmetic glass containers, aluminum tubes or plastic bottles with serial numbers or expiry dates. Marks, which then have more decorative than informative purposes, can also be applied directly on colored make-up paint.

A 2-Watt-UV-laser system can be used to mark compressed or cast grease and powder compounds, used for decorative cosmetics. By removing the upper layer of paint, the laser marker changes the color of the make-up or engraves the intented logo or graphics. Laser marking is advantageous for this application as it is contactless and fast.
